St. Paul’s has a number of Christian education offerings for adults. There is something for almost everyone.
EfM (Education for Ministry) EfM is a program of theological education-at-a-distance of the School of Theology of the University of the South. Students sign up one year at a time for this four-year program. It covers the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology. Students meet regularly, usually once a week, in seminars under the guidance of trained mentors. The program grants a certificate at the completion of the four years and 18 Continuing Education Units for each year's work.
Anglican Studies: What does it mean to be an Anglican? What is the Anglican Communion? How does the Anglican Consultative Council work? How did the Church of England come into being? What is the Episcopal Church’s relationship with the world-wide Anglican Communion? What is the “three-legged stool” of our tradition? These and many other questions are discussed in our Anglican Studies class. Please contact The Rev. Thack Dyson for more information at 626-2421.
